January 16, 2008 - USCIS advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, the processing of fee payments and entry of cases into the tracking system has been running behind schedule. November 30, 2007 - USCIS revises filing instructions for petitions for alien relatives. You can review the advisory here.
November 25, 2007 - USCIS issues advisory concerning lengthier processing times due to the increase in the number of immigration applications filed this year. As a result, average processing times for certain applications may grow longer. For example, naturalization applications filed after June 1, 2007 may take approximately 16-18 months to process.
November 23, 2007 - USCIS reminds all employers to transition to using the new Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) by December 26, 2007. The new I-9 form and instructions can be found here.
